Tempered glass does not crack, it lets go all at once and turns into a few thousand blunt cubes. They drop inside the door skin, into the regulator track, under the seat rails, into the belt reel, through the carpet and along the trunk seam. Brushing off the seat clears maybe a third of it. The rest surfaces for months, rattling in the door every time you shut it and working its way out of the vents.
