Mobile makes more sense in Throggs Neck than almost anywhere else we go, and the reason is the driveways. A tech needs room to work around all four sides of a vehicle and somewhere the glass stays out of a downpour while the urethane sets, and a house on a residential block out here gives him both. That is not a given in most of the Bronx. We arrive with the correct glass for your year, make and model, the same urethane we use in the bay, new moldings, and the vacuum.
Now the honest part. If the car can be driven, driving it to 1747 Jerome Avenue is usually the faster answer, even from nine or ten miles out. In the shop the glass is already on the shelf, a second set of hands is available if a regulator fights back, and the car can cure indoors instead of in your driveway while you watch the clock. Sunroof panels, back glass thick with wiring and anything we have to order are all better done in the bay, and we will say that on the phone rather than send a van out to a job that will not hold.
